Nous avons travaillé avec Tommy Caldwell, grimpeur professionnel et légende de la big wall, pour développer cette corde, idéale pour les grandes parois et les voies exigeantes. Notre technologie ColorTec crée un changement de couleur clairement reconnaissable entre les deux moitiés de la corde et donc une marque centrale permanente. Grâce à sa fabrication sur une machine à tresser de 48 bobines, la corde possède une structure de gaine particulièrement fine qui offre une manipulation très agréable et est extrêmement résistante à l’abrasion malgré son faible diamètre.
This rope was developed in cooperation with big-wall legend Tommy Caldwell. A genuine workhorse with a particularly abrasion-resistant sheath construction. Not only is it light and easy to handle but, thanks to our PFC-free Eco Dry coating, it is also permanently water repellent and dirt resistant. The perfect rope for big walls and demanding tours.
As a big-wall climber, you have to be able to rely 100% on your rope. In an emergency, it is the lifesaving umbilical cord that connects you to the world away from the wall.
Noone knows this better than big-wall legend and EDELRID ambassador Tommy Caldwell, with whom we developed this rope. The aim of this collaboration was to develop a rope that is not only extremely robust and abrasion resistant but also light and easy to handle. It also needed to be produced in a sustainable manner that conserves resources. After initially causing our developers major headaches, these stipulations were ultimately met to perfection in the form of the TOMMY CALDWELL ECO DRY CT 9.3 MM.
