האקימבו הוא כלי טיפוס ארבוריסטי ייחודי המאפשר למטפס לעלות, לרדת ולהתמקם הן על חבל נייח והן על מערכות חבלים נעות. האקימבו כולל משטחי מגע עם חבלים (בולארדים עליונים ותחתונים) המתכווננים למגוון רחב של גדלי חבלים בהתאם לצרכים או להעדפות של המטפס – כל זאת ללא כלים או רכיבי פירוק. ניתן גם לכוונן את הבולארדים כדי להגדיל או להקטין את החיכוך כדי להתאים לשינויים במשקל המטפס, שינויים בסביבה, או להתאים לשחיקה טבעית של משטחי המגע של אקימבו.

Working Load is equal to the total weight of the climber including gear. Total Working Load of the climber must not exceed the Working Load Limit (WLL) for the rope listed below or slippage may occur!
